Major activities and achievements of the Extension Education Institute, North East Region during the current financial year.
Shri Sanjay Kumar Agarwal, IAS, Joint Secretary (Extension & Pulses), Department of Agriculture & Farmers Welfare, Government of India, was felicitated during the Interface Meeting at Krishi Bhawan, New Delhi, on 29 June 2026.
The Director, EEI, participated in the Interface Meeting for all stakeholders on “Inclusive Agriculture Development in Assam” on 25 June 2026 at Assam Administrative Staff College, Guwahati. The meeting was organized by the Directorate of Extension Education, AAU, Jorhat. The Hon’ble Minister of Agriculture, Government of Assam, Shri Prijush Hazarika, graced the occasion as Chief Guest.
International Yoga Day was celebrated at the EEI-NER campus on 21 June 2026.
Khet Bachao Abhiyan was conducted at different locations from June 1–30, 2026.
World Environment Day was celebrated at the EEI Guwahati campus on 5 June 2026.
